3 Unique Ways to Sneak Minerals Into Your Daily Routine

I'm all about getting creative with the ways we implement health habits into our life. I love minerals because they come in a wide variety of mediums. We can ingest them, apply them topically, absorb through our skin and more! Here are three, unique ways you can incorporate minerals and all the benefits they have to offer into your life! Lets talk all about foot baths, mineral drops in your beverages & topical skincare essentials!


1) Foot Baths

  • Don't have time for a full-blown bath, or maybe you live in an apt without a tub . . . enter in the next best option: Foot baths!

  • Foot baths are great because they are quick, convenient, and they transform your home into a little relaxing spa in just minutes.

  • How to foot bath? Simply grab a large bowl, or fill up your tub just a few inches, enough to completely cover your feet and add in your desired minerals!

  • Here are just a few examples of the things I add to my foot soaks:

  1. 1 cup Epsom salts (excellent source of magnesium!)

    1. Ancient Minerals is one of my favorite brands for high quality & pure Epsom salts

  2. Borax Powder (excellent source of boron!) Borax? You may be asking . . . isn't that for cleaning? That's not all its good for. In fact,

the element Boron is an essential mineral in our body's mineral

foundation. Boron is a natural anti-fungal, it can help with the

absorption of other essential nutrients & minerals, and it can help

balance hormones. One of my favorite podcasts the "Are you

menstrual?" podcast has a whole episode dedicated to the benefits of

boron & I highly recommend you give it a listen!

  1. I simply purchase this brand of borax and add a couple tsp to my foot bath. If I was adding it to a larger full body bath, I would add a couple tablespoons.

  1. Mitigate Stress Magnesium Bath Soak

    1. I love this mineral soak by Mitigate Stress! In this blend is a mix of magnesium, potassium, sodium, and carbon-dioxide. All essential minerals for decompression and stress mitigating effects. Its so easy to simply pour into your foot soak and reap the benefits!

P.S. Doesn't necessarily have to do with minerals, but I also love adding a few drops of my favorite essential oil to my foot soaks. If my nose is feeling stuffy I'll add some peppermint, if I'm wanting a little pick-me-up in my mood, I'll opt for some citrus scents. If I'm looking to wind down, lavender is my go-to! 2) Add drops to your water or juice!

  • This is such a simple way to add minerals into your daily routine. Simply adding in minerals to your beverages can give your body the electrolytes it needs to stay optimally energized.

You can add back in electrolytes in a few simple ways:

  1. Simply add high quality salt to your water. I go for a couple pinches. These are some of my favorite brands of high-quality salt:

  2. Add mineral drops to your water/juice!
